Once, I accidentally deleted my PDF folder. It happened unintentionally due to an issue with the Nautilus file manager I was using in Ubuntu.
Thankfully, I discovered a command called foremost which helped me recover all the deleted files from a specific partition on the hard disk.
sudo foremost -i /dev/sdaX -t pdf -o recover-pdfs
